Privacy Policy

Last updated:

VVault ("we", "us") is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using VVault you agree to this policy.

1. What VVault stores

The vouchers you add — brand, amount, voucher code, PIN, expiry date and category — are stored on your device. Voucher codes and PINs are encrypted on-device using AES-GCM with a key held in your phone's secure keystore/keychain.

2. SMS & clipboard

VVault parses a message only when you paste it or share it to the app. We do not read your SMS inbox silently or in the background. When you use AI import, the message text you provide may be sent to our parsing service solely to extract voucher details, and is not retained for advertising or profiling.

3. Optional cloud sync

If you enable sync, your vouchers are synced to our backend so you can use multiple devices. Sensitive fields remain encrypted, so they are not readable on the server. Sync is optional — VVault is fully functional offline.

4. Account data

If you create an account (e.g. via email or Google sign-in), we store the minimum needed to authenticate you. We use this only to operate the service.

5. Crash, error & usage analytics

We use privacy-hardened crash reporting to fix bugs and improve stability; reports are stripped of personal voucher content. Our website uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic (e.g. page views). It does not identify you personally and never has access to your vouchers.

6. What we never do

7. Your choices

8. Data deletion

You can delete individual vouchers, or request full account deletion in the app, which removes your synced data from our servers.
